Product Details: Brass Mortar and Pestle also called khal Bhatta or pankutni is made up of Pure Brass. 

Mortar: Brass mortar is shaped in the form of a bowl. It is wide, round, and deep. This form has been given to the mortar so that the ingredients would not pop out while grinding or smashing. 

Pestle: Pestle has a firm grip to hold it tight. It has a round and broad base for easily crushing the ingredients.  

Mortar and pestle are used to grind or smash herbs, garlic, ginger, etc to prepare chutneys. The brass material of the product allows easy cleaning. Using Mortar and pestle is the best way to add real taste to your food and it will make your food tastier.

Cleaning Instructions: Brass is a mixture of copper and zinc metals. So after some time Brass reacts with open-air or oxygen and generally gets oxidized or tarnishes and might turn black or green. Here are some ways that might help you to maintain Brass products well.  

1. Metal Shining Powder is the best and most traditional way to clean brass items. 
2. Vinegar with a mixture of Salt can be applied and cleaned otherwise the brass product to be cleaned can be immersed in a solution of vinegar and salt in boiling water.  
3. The lemon and salt mixture can be rubbed to clean the product and salt can be replaced with Baking Soda.
